Attitude to the COW
Cow Hindus equal to the status of the mother, because the mother animal has such qualities as humility, kindness, wisdom and serenity. In India the cow is called "Gau Mata", which literally translates as "Mother Cow." Therefore, while on holiday in India, it is forbidden to shout at the cow, beat her and, especially, to eat beef.
