WHO THEY WERE
The Romanov Dynasty was the 2nd imperial dynasty to rule Russia.
The Romanov family reigned from 1613 until the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II on March 15, 1917.

Father - Patriarch Filaret, cousin of Fyodor Ioannovich, the last Tsar from Rurik family.
Mother - Ksenia Shestova (nun Marpha)

FIRST YEARS OF REIGN
Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich was young and inexperienced, and until 1619 the country was ruled by his mother and her relatives.
After liberation in 1619 from the Polish captivity of the patriarch Filaret, the actual power passed into the hands of the latter.
