Regular verbs
A verb, that gets a new ending –ed in
the Past.
When the verb ends with –y it changes to –i:
cry – cried
tidy - tidied
When the verb ends with –e it gets only –d:
like – liked
agree - agreed

a consonant it gets the doubled consonant and –ed:
slip – slipped

Irregular verb has different forms in the Present and
the Past.
It gets –t or –d in the end:
burn – burnt
hear – heard
It changes –d for –t:
spend – spent
