BIOGRAPHY:
Birthplace of the famous doctor in Moscow.
His father was a merchant and engaged in trade in tea. In the family, he was the eleventh child.

In the childhood he wanted to become a mathematician, but by the time of admission to the university issued a decree of the Emperor Nicholas,
which allowed free access to nedvoryan only medical school. He studied at the medical faculty of Moscow University.

Sergei Petrovich Botkin - Russian physician, founder of Russian clinical medicine.
