The history of the Medical Preventive Faculty begins on March 16, 1931.

The faculty trains doctors bacteriologists, virologists, doctors in communal hygiene, occupational hygiene, food hygiene, hygiene of children and adolescents, radiation hygiene, epidemiologists, parasitologists, specialists in sanitary and hygienic laboratory research, clinical laboratory diagnostics.
