Datsyuk was born in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg), in the Urals region of the then-Soviet Union (now Russia).
From 2001 to 2016, he played for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL).

HOBBY

HIS FAVOURITE HOBBY IS FISHING. DURING HIS CAREER HE ALREADY CAUGHT:
NOW HE IS PREPARING THE GEAR FOR THE OLYMPICS.

Since 2016 he has been playing in the KHL, for SKA from St. Petersburg. He is the Captain of the team.

In January 2017 Datsyuk was included in the list of 100 greatest hockey players in the history of the NHL.
