Present Simple
We use the present tense to talk about:
Something that is true in the present:
I’m nineteen years old
He lives in London
I’m a student
Something that happens again and again in the present:
I play football every weekend.

Also…
We use words like sometimes, often, always, and never (adverbs of frequency*) with the present tense:
I sometimes go to the cinema
She never plays football
Something that is always true:
The adult human body contains 206 bones
Light travels at almost 300,000 kilometers per second

If there is no VERB in a sentence, we need to put in this verb
LET IT BE!

AM, IS, ARE!

Wait, but what about the PAST?

Okay, here is Past Simple
Time of the action is definite
The action/series of events is finished
Actions are repeated
You emphasize on action

past
Structure of the tense:
subject + V2

When we have a verb…
… and it is not a statement, we need an
auxiliary verb!

Just like that:

DID you send a letter yesterday?
They DON’T talk to each other anymore.
