Germany (German. Deutschland) official name-Federal Republic of Germany. state in Central Europe. The area is 357 408.74 km2. The population as of 31 December 2015 was 82,175,684 inhabitants. It ranks 16th in the world in terms of population (2nd in Europe) and 62nd in the world in terms of territory (8th in Europe).

The Capital Is Berlin.

The official language is German. About 65 % of the population professes Christianity.
