The population of the country is more than 250 million people. Americans are made up from nearly all races and nations. That’s why the USA is called “the melting pot”. The largest cities are: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, San- Francisco, Washington and others.

The Capitol Building
At the U.S. Capitol Building the Senate and the House of Representatives come together to discuss, debate and deliberate national policy.

The Twin Towers
The Twin Towers in New York These towers were the proud of America. They were destroyed by airplanes. Now you can find only the memorial to these towers.

The Empire State Building
The Empire State Building It is the most famous building in the world. It’s very tall. Here you can visit the Observatory. Visibility on clear day- 80 miles. The Observatory is on the 102 nd floor of the Empire state Building. it’s the worlds greatest TV tower. It is 1, 454 feet tall.

The White House
The White House in Washington D.C. The White House is the beautiful home of every President of the United States. This is the oldest public building in Washington D.C. It has the most famous address -1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Consist of 132 rooms. Open for tours daily: 9.00 a. m- 3. 45 p.m.

The Guggenheim museum has one of the world’s finest collections of modern and contemporary art. This museum was designed by the famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. Look at its shape!

The Golden Gate Bridge

Devil’s Tower
Devils Tower (also Bear Lodge Butte) is a laccolithic butte composed of igneous rock in the Bear Lodge Mountains (part of the Black Hills) near Hulett and Sundance in Crook County, northeastern Wyoming, above the Belle Fourche River. It rises dramatically 1,267 feet (386 m) above the Belle Fourche River, standing 867 feet (265 m) from summit to base. The summit is 5,112 feet (1,559 m) above sea level.
Devils Tower was the first declared United States National Monument, established on September 24, 1906, by President Theodore Roosevelt.

The Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls are located on the border between Canada and the USA. "Niagara Falls" is a common name for three waterfalls – the American Falls, the Horseshoe Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls.
Niagara Falls are not very high (53 metres) but very wide.
Every year thousands of people visit this scenic place. There is the Rainbow Bridge over the river which connects both countries. It is open for pedestrians.

The Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world. Its depth is 1800 metres. It is located in Arizona on the territory of the national park. The length of the canyon is 446 km and its width varies from 6 to 29 km at the top and is less than 1 km at the bottom.
The Grand Canyon is a very picturesque place. Every year thousands of tourists come here. Nowadays visitors can admire the canyon from the observation point called "Grand Canyon Skywalk".
