The largest city in the region is Brighton and Hove. The dominant influence on the region’s economy is neighboring London.

The highest point is Walbury Hill in Berkshire at 297 meters. But don’t think that geographical convenience is the only reason for its popularity;

There is much here of interest to the traveler, from varied natural landscapes,

to historic towns and cities, refined stately homes and others.

There is also a lot of industry near the Thames and there are a lot of roads and motorways.
