The United States of America
The United States of America are situated in the central part of the North American continent. Its western coast is washed by the Pacific Ocean and its eastern coast-by the Atlantic Ocean. It borders on Canada in the north and on Mexico in the south. The total area of the country is more than nine million square kilometers.

America is the fourth largest country in the world (after Russia, Canada and China).

The national capital is Washington, D.C.
Its population is about 3,4 million people. It was named after George Washington.
