Plot
The main charactor is Patrick Jane (Simon Baker), an excellent mentalist, practicing psychologist and manipulator, who once pretended to be "psychic" and "clairvoyant." Cooperated with the investigation in the capture of a serial killer nicknamed "Bloody John". In a speech on television, he described his psychological portrait as "clairvoyant": "Strangled from childhood, pitiful and lonely." Outraged by such a “lie,” as he himself put it in his message, “Bloody John” killed Patrick's wife and daughter. This happened five years before the events of the first episode of the series.
Now Jane is involved in helping the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) solve various serious crimes (murders). He categorically denies that magic exists, and argues that everything passed off as magic is just sleight of hand and observation. Providing invaluable assistance to the Bureau, he continues to live on the hope of catching "Bloody John". The fulfillment of "personal revenge" is the main reason for Patrick's cooperation with the KBR, by his own admission.

Patrick Jane is a modern day Sherlock Holmes with an uncanny ability to discern truth or lack thereof. His deductive power is so strong that people believe he does have a sixth sense, even though he constantly tells them: 'There are no psychics.' There is no magic formula in what Patrick does, no supernatural element. He is simply using the highly developed observation skills he previously used to 'read' people's minds. His personality is interesting and sometimes infuriating. He is a frivolous, funny and very cocky person, inclined to ignore any authorities.
Little fact: Patrick loves tea. In almost every episode, he drinks at least one cup of tea.

Created by English writer and director Bruno Heller, who is also executive producer.

This series has an amazing acting game. Simon Baker played just amazing. The writers did a very good job. The show has great humor that makes it fashionable to laugh well.

The plot of this series is incredibly exciting, I could not tear myself away. This is the only 7-season series that I have watched from start to finish several times.

My opinion and recommendations
I think this is just an amazing show for those who love detective stories, sarcasm and TV series about cops. This series has a wonderful atmosphere, I watch it often and never get bored. A must-see for those who love Sherlock Holmes and Dr. House.
