Talgat Musabayev studied in Riga, received the profession of civil aviation engineer. He

began to master the specialty of a pilot in the Alma-Ata flying club, he received a pilot certificate after graduating from a training center. In the 1980s, Talgat was successfully involved in airplane sports, he was awarded the title of Master of Sports in aerobatics. The flight team, in which he played, became the champion of the USSR in the early 1980s. He fulfilled the standard of master of sports in artistic gymnastics. Talgat Musabaev in the Alma-Ata flight unit worked as a pilot, held engineering positions. In the spring of 1991, Musabayev's stellar journey began - he received the status of a candidate in the cosmonaut corps.

The first time was launched on July 1, 1994. The work lasted 126

days, the 43-year-old researcher twice at this time performed tasks outside the station, having stayed there for 11 hours.
Musabayev performed the second flight as a detachment commander. The start took place on January 29, 1998. The stellar expedition lasted longer than anticipated, nearly seven months. The reason for this was emergency situations, which the team coped with without losses. The commander left the station five times, spending more than 30 hours in open space. Before him, no one was there for more than a day in one flight, this fact is entered in the Guinness Book of Records.
The third space launch for the 50-year-old Talgat Musabayev took place on April 28, 2001. This was the first flight in the 21st century, and it lasted eight days. It stood out from other flights in that for the first time a space tourist, Dennis Tito, took a seat on board.

The cosmonaut-researcher from Kazakhstan spent more than 341 days on these expeditions, and
