Twin fixed displacement gear pumps (412S, 414S)
Oil is picked up on suction

side of pump by the gears, oil is carried round the outer edge of the pump body by the gear teeth. When the gear teeth come into mesh – the oil is forced through the outlet port.
Both pumps provide oil for all services
Both pumps operate high flow at low pressure 412S = (131 l/min@170bar), 414S = (154 l/min@190bar) Example for: rapid loader arm lift!
One pump will cut of for the other to supply high pressure, low flow 412S = (54 l/min@220bar), 414S = (90 l/min@240bar) Example: for maximum breakout force!

Body contains a number of pistons

arranged in a circle around a central driveshaft, Pistons are in contact with an angled plate (swashplate).
As the body is rotated, the volume in the piston bores moves from minimum to maximum - drawing oil in and pushing it out
Pump senses load requirements and varies swashplate angle accordingly
bigger angle for high flow at lower pressure
smaller angle for higher pressure at lower flow
Swash angle is minimal until a service is selected - oil is only pumped on demand
