The film is based on real events on February 27, 1977 At

21:30.
in the evening in one of carriage of the fast train "Youth" going from Moscow to Leningrad there was a fire. And fire has quickly captured all the carriage .
As the doors of the carriage were closed, the cadets of the Leningrad Highest Fire and Technical School who were coming back from a holiday broke wsindows of the carriage and evacuated the passengers.
During Evacuation Three Cadets — M. B. Zhukov, V. A. Ivanov And Yu. B. Malyshev — died.

The film was shot on Caucasus Mineralnye Vody region. As the station Shmakovka was

the Beshtau station located near Zheleznovodsk

Scenes of the fire and rescue of passengers were shot on an access road of the plant in Mineralnye Vody which works to this day.
