The history of the origin of the celebration of Earth Day traces its roots back to the nineteenth century and it is connected with the American farmer and biologist Julius Sterling Morton.
The main purposes of Earth Day (Mother Earth) are:
people's attention to the protection of Nature
the formation of younger generation
the responsibility and interest in everything going on around us
