PRESENT PERFECT VS PAST PAST PERFECT

PAST PERFECT: ИСПОЛЬЗОВАНИЕ
действие в прошлом закончилось до другого прошедшего действия.
действие в прошлом закончилось к какому-то моменту в пошлом. Часто отмечается предлогом by – к.
когда нам важно показать предшествование, указать на то, что одно из действий совершилось раньше чем другое (другие). Часто используются маркеры: before – до этого, after – после.

маркеры связаны с настоящем: already, just, recently, ever, just и др.
действие началось в прошлом, но все еще продолжается в настоящем, либо закончилось, но связано с настоящем!
действие сделано в прошлом (в предложении есть глаголом в прошедшем времени)
маркеры связаны с прошлым, показывают предшествие: before, after
действие закончилось в прошлом, оно НЕ связано с настоящем!

They have never been to Paris.
They had never been to Paris before they won some tickets.
